The early grade classes in Classical Ballet, Tap and Modern Theatre, build upon the preparatory work, with more emphasis on a structured syllabus. Within these syllabi, children learn more complex dance movements and develop a body awareness that is needed for the higher grades.

Although within the early years class, Ballet, Tap and Modern are combined, throughout the grades they are studied in separate classes so that students can learn the fundamental differences between them, and progress steadily through the syllabus work.

All students will have the opportunity to take examinations, but in order to achieve the examination standard additional classes will be provided as appropiate, and must be attended in addition to the normal lesson.

For ages 9 and above, it is best to telephone either Alison or Heidi, to obtain helpful advice, in order to discuss the class best suited to your child's abilities.
