Difficult to categorise within a specific style, Modern evolves and adapts to follow the everchanging fashions of dance and theatre. Through a combination of modern dance, jazz and other styles, training is given to allow young people to develop a disciplined, versatile and professional attitude towards dance.

A specially structured grade syllabus guides students from children's work of everyday natural movement into contemporary dance movements, preparing the dancer for the Major exam syllabus.

YES!! boys do ballet, tap and modern dance! It's not just for girls, but unfortunately we are not able to provide separate boys classes at the moment.

The boys syllabus in ballet works to build strength in the upper body and strong legs used in the allegro (jumps and leaps) section. Dance also helps develop social, musical and co-ordination skills, and compliments other sport activity.
